2021 Free Agents:

  • Nemanja Bjelica
  • Terence Davis (restricted)
  • Kyle Guy
  • Maurice Harkless
  • Richaun Holmes
  • Hassan Whiteside

2021 Draft Picks:

  • Guard, Davion Mitchell (9th)
  • Center, Neemias Queta (39th)

Prior to the Lakers pulling off the Russell Westbrook trade, Buddy Hield was the player being buzzed about as heading to La La Land. On the same evening, the draft pick by the Kings to add Mitchell sure seemed to indicate Hield is still likely being shopped by the Kings.

With De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton firmly entrenched in the backcourt there are only so many minutes and touches to go around for the backcourt.

Hield may have his issues on the defensive side of the hardwood but there’s no denying his 3-point prowess. He shot 39.1 percent from the perimeter but took 10.2 attempts per game and was second only to Steph Curry for makes on the season.

The big question is what the team is going to do with Marvin Bagley who hasn’t lived up to expectations, struggles to stay healthy and there seems to be a disconnect between the player and the franchise.

Although Richaun Holmes is highly appealing as a gritty undersized big who averaged 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds at 27 he’s not a player Presti should target. Especially since the Kings are said to want to re-sign him and deliver on his payday.

One option would be Terence Davis who had a rough personal year and ultimately was traded at the deadline to the Kings. He has size and perimeter efficiency so the Thunder could take a flyer on him.
