The early over-under predictions are out with the OKC Thunder understandably ranked at the bottom. Although some oddsmakers think the team will perform slightly better than the Orlando Magic and slightly ahead of the Detroit Pistons.

Nor is it surprising the talent-rich Nets, reigning champs, and revamped (albeit with age) Lakers are projected to claim the most victories.

Win Projections predict OKC Thunder finish in a tie for the last place

For those who love to put your money down on the season, there is some suspect over/under in the mix. Listed below

Intentions broke down the 30 teams into three tiers divided into groups of 10. The first group features the top 10 elite squads – those most likely to vie for the title.  Next is the middle group of clubs or those most likely in battles to claim a playoff berth or get into the play-in tournament. Finally, the bottom group of 10 that includes the OKC Thunder – are the projected lottery-bound clubs.

Each team has three numbers listed to the right. First, the top to bottom order was determined by how Vegas projected them to finish. The number to the immediate right of the team is that over/under projection. In the middle is the win projection predicted by the ESPN expert panel. And for comparison purposes, last season’s record is listed on the far right.

In each tier, I’ve picked out a few teams that could exceed or underperform in terms of reaching the Vegas win projections.
