OKC Thunder rookie Tre Mann battles for minutes

The Oklahoma City Thunder walked into the 2021 NBA Draft with three first-round picks, only using two of them. Along with Josh Giddey, the team selected Florida guard Tre Mann. The spunky shot-creator gets to continue wearing blue and orange in the NBA, but the question is how does he fit into Mark Daigneault’s rotation?

the Thunder have a plethora of guards who need minutes to develop, and with a full legitimate NBA G-League season, it could benefit the rookie to be sent down and play with the OKC Blue. At least for their home games which will be played in the Paycom Center.

Even if Mann can crack the Oklahoma City Thunder rotation, his best skill set is creating for himself as well as others, it is hard to find lineups for him to be the primary creator right out of the gate. The luxury being, if he proves himself in camp, every guard on this roster can play on or off-ball allowing for Mann to play his best brand of basketball.

These four preseason games along with the practices during training camp will go a long way in deciding the minute allotment for the rookie guard.

The Oklahoma City Thunder training camp is always an exciting time, basketball is just around the corner in Bricktown. This time in the traditional 82-game format with fans in the stands! Stay tuned to us here at Thunderous Intentions all season long for OKC Thunder coverage.
