Warriors projected starting lineup:

No big surprises here and won’t be until Klay Thompson returns to the rotation. This club is deep (one of my two favorites in the association — check out the depth on Atlanta)  with some great rotational pieces and versatility at Steve Kerr’s disposal.

  • Stephen Curry – point guard
  • Jordan Poole – shooting guard
  • Andrew Wiggins – small forward
  • Draymond Green – power forward
  • Kevon Looney – center

Warriors Injuries:

Not many surprises here as a trio of players remain in rehab mode while one player should be back from a short stay on the injured reserve list.

  • Andre Iguodala missed the last match due to hip soreness but is upgraded to probable
  • James Wiseman (meniscus) is working his way back and is expected to ramp up his workouts to full speed over the next few weeks.
  • Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is back fully practicing with the team but won’t participate in games this week. He’s scheduled to be re-evaluated on Friday (Oct. 29).
  • Klay Thompson is progressing in his rehab from Achilles but is not expected back until later this season (likely near the New Year).

OKC Thunder projected starting lineup:

Isaiah Roby will likely get the start alongside the cemented quartet of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey. Luguentz Dort and Darius Bazley.

See below…

OKC Thunder injuries:

The presumption to start Roby is because Derrick Favors is on the injury list noted for rest. It makes sense given OKC is playing a back-to-back set with the Lakers being the team they face second.

History:

All-Time the OKC Thunder and Golden State Warriors have played each other 256 times. OKC owns the advantage having won 141 of those matches.

Of course, the most notorious games between these clubs occurred in 2015-16 when the Thunder were up 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals and lost to the Dubs.

Last year, the teams played three times with the Warriors sweeping that regular-season series.
