OKC Thunder vs. Lakers: OKC in search of elusive first win
Injuries and projected starting lineups:
Lakers projected starting lineup:
The five who started in San Antonio were:
- Russell Westbrook- point guard
- Malik Monk – shooting guard
- Kent Bazemore – small forward
- Anthony Davis – power forward
- DeAndre Jordan – center’
Presumably, if Davis can’t go Vogel would opt to start Carmelo Anthony for floor spacing purposes — besides he doesn’t have a ton of options if both superstars are out unless he wants to put two bigs who can’t shot on the floor together like DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howard.
Lakers injuries:
- LeBron James (ankle) is questionable
- Anthony Davis (knee/shoulder) will be a game-time decision
- Wayne Ellington (hamstring) is questionable.
- Kendrick Nunn (knee) is out
- Trevor Ariza (ankle) is out
- Talen Horton-Tucker (thumb) os out
OKC Thunder projected starting lineup:
Mark Daigneault surprised some by replacing Derrick Favors with rookie Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in the starting rotation versus the Warriors. JRE joined Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey. Luguentz Dort and Darius Bazley.
OKC Thunder injuries:
Derrick Favors was out on Tuesday for rest and appears as questionable on the current injury report but it would seem unlikely OKC would rest him in consecutive matches.
History:
All-Time the OKC Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers have played each other 256 times. LA owns the advantage having won 149 of those matches.
Last year, the teams played three times with the Lakers winning all three matches
