Key matchup:

A few compelling matchups are on the tab tonight with De’Aaron Fox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander one most fans will be keen to watch.

While Fox is the star of the Kings the most intriguing guard (in the narrator’s opinion) is Tyrese Haliburton who possesses a more subtle game but one that impacts both sides of the court.

While Fox is averaging 18.1 points 4.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.4 steals his shooting efficiency is concerning. Teams want their point guards to be the most efficient shooters but Fox is shooting 39.0 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from deep.

Proving the point about Haliburton, he’s 13.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and
1.1 blocks per game. In direct contrast to Fox, he’s shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from deep.

Upfront there are two players who Mark Daigneault will need to game plan for — Richaun Holmes and Harrison Barnes. Holmes is averaging a double-double of 15.4 points and 10.8 rebounds.

Barnes started the season on fire and is leading the Kings in scoring 22.2 points plus registering 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He’s shooting 43.3 percent from deep on 6.7 attempts per game. In the first 10 games of the season, he’s scored over 22 points seven times.
