To open the season the OKC Thunder traveled to Utah and put up a fight versus the team who held the best record last season. The Jazz won the match but fell 86-107.

The Thunder went on to lose four in a row which was part and parcel of what fans expected in this presumed tanking season.

Then OKC won five of seven including a four-game win streak that included their second comeback versus the Lakers to erase a double-digit deficit.

For as much as this is meant to be a season where the youngest squad in the league gets extra exposure to top teams, they’re keeping games interesting. Hey, they might not be getting a bunch of “W’s” but they keep us invested in games knowing they’ll attempt to come back no matter how much they trail in a game or what stage the match is at.

That was the case on Monday as the Thunder attempted to rally in the final quarter in Atlanta.

It proved to be too much of a mountain to overcome as Trae Young led his squad to a huge lead following a third-quarter where the Hawks buried the Thunder with a 27 to 11 scoring effort.

The Jazz arrives a bit crusty from giving up a lead in clutch time to the Memphis Grizzlies in a match they led for the majority of the contest.

Donovan Mitchell had an off night shooting 5 of 20 from the field and will no doubt be looking to rebound from that performance.

Let’s take a look at how the OKC Thunder match up versus the Jazz…
