Injuries and projected starting lineups:

Grizzlies projected starting lineup:

  • Point Guard: Tyus Jones (potentially Ja Morant if the injury report is on point)
  • Shooting guard: Desmond Bane
  • Small forward: Dillon Brooks
  • Power forward: Jaren Jackson Jr.
  • Center: Steven Adams

Grizzlies injuries:

  • Ja Morant (knee sprain) is no longer in quarantine and his knee has improved enough to allow him to ramp up his conditioning. Although it’s unlikely the Grizzlies cornerstone was upgraded to questionable.
  • Tyus Jones (finger sprain) is questionable and Taylor Jenkins will need to make some tweaks to the starting rotation if he can’t go.
  • Ziaire Williams (knee) is questionable.
  • Santi Aldama (calf)
  • Sam Merrill (ankle) is out indefinitely

OKC Thunder injuries:

  • Only one team of 30 in the association listed no injuries to start the day and that was the OKC Thunder.

History:

The history between the clubs favors the Grizzlies who’ve won 65 of the all-time 96 matches with the Thunder taking 31 contests.

In 2020-21 the teams also played three times with Memphis taking two of the three matches. This is the second of three meetings between the clubs with the final match in OKC occurring on March 13th.
