The OKC Thunder are set to take on the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night in downtown Oklahoma City as the Nuggets enter the Paycom Center with the reigning MVP of the NBA Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are a game above .500 at 15-14, and 6-4 in their last ten tilts. The Thunder are playing some of their best basketball of the season, improving their record to 10-19, and crawling back to 4-6 in their last ten contests.

The OKC Thunder are playing better following a shocking lineup move that sent Darius Bazley, who had started 84-straight contests, to the pine in favor of a revolving door at the starting power forward position. After a spot start by two-way wing Aaron Wiggins, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has slid up in the starting five to fill the cap while veteran big man Derrick Favors starts at the five spot. That is how the Oklahoma City Thunder will start the game tonight against the Nuggets, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, and Josh Giddey are joined by Robinson-Earl and Favors.

The Oklahoma City Thunder released their injury report earlier this afternoon with Mike Muscala tapped as out, and Tre Mann listed as questionable against Denver on the first leg of a back-to-back. Mann was iffy with a sprained great toe, and Muscala is out for rest to manage the veteran’s minutes.

OKC Thunder list Tre Mann as questionable, Muscala as out

Mark Daigneault pregame told those of us in the media that Tre Mann will be active tonight despite being listed as questionable. The Denver Nuggets though will be without some key pieces.

PJ Dozier, one of only two players to dawn the number 35 for the OKC Thunder, is out for the season for Denver. Jamal Murray remains sidelined as he nurses a torn ACL, with hopes he will be back around the all-star break or playoffs, Bol Bol, Michael Porter Jr, and Markus Howard are all out as well.

The Denver Nuggets have labeled Aaron Gordon, who is typically the team’s primary defender, as questionable along with JaMychal Green, though head coach Mike Malone made it known before tip-off they would both be active tonight against the OKC Thunder.
