A blast from the past could be fun for the OKC Thunder

Okay, let’s have some fun. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a lot of weird, gimmicky, loveable former players who are without an NBA gig right now. Would they entertain a brief ten-day stint? Who knows, but it is fun to think about!

Full disclosure, I am on my sixth cup of coffee today and each passing phone notification gives me more and more work to do to pump out more and more content so allow me to get crazy for a little bit.

Let’s start with my personal favorite, Josh Hall. The OKC Thunder like Hall, a springy forward who has the unreal athletic ability you and I could only dream of. Seriously, how must it feel to be able to fly through the air like Hall?

The Oklahoma City Thunder issued Josh Hall a two-way deal before it was pulled from him in favor of Paul Watson Jr, who has not seen a ton of run under Mark Daigneault. Hall eventually landed with the Toronto Raptors G-League squad and rightfully so had a bad taste in his mouth following the offseason according to sources. This could be a chance though to play NBA basketball again.

Justin Robinson was also featured on last year’s squad and played recently for the Sacramento Kings on a ten-day deal playing in three contests for the Kings which expired Monday night. He only made one shot on eight attempts while collecting a rebound and two assists in this contest.

Deonte Burton was a fun fan favorite given his stature and athletic ability, the 27-year-old has not played in an NBA game since the 2019-20 season but fans fell in love with him during his first year with the squad at Summer League as he tore up the competition in Vegas.

Who would you sign to a ten-day deal for the OKC Thunder? The possibilities are endless.
