The OKC Thunder are being ravished by the Injury bug in early February. The Thunder to this point has been one of the healthiest teams in the NBA, but the injuries have come in waves for the Bricktown Boys. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is sidelined until at least the All-Star break with an Ankle Injury, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is out at least six weeks with a foot injury, Aaron Wiggins is “not day-to-day” with an ankle injury according to bench boss Mark Daigneault, Isaiah Roby, Mike Muscala and Vit Krejci are also sidelined with ankle injuries. Oh yeah…and Lu Dort? He has a nasal fracture!

The Golden State Warriors are no strangers to injuries, listing Draymond Green, James Wiseman, Nemanja Bjelica, and Quinndary Weatherspoon as out. The Warriors also list Otto Porter and Andre Iguodala as questionable for tonight’s contest in downtown Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Thunder went on a three-game winning streak following Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s ankle injury that is set to sideline him for at least six more contests before the team eventually lost to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday on the second night of a back-to-back.

The OKC Thunder sit at 17-35, the fourth-worst record in the NBA only a half-game up on the fifth-worst team, and roughly two and a half games better (or worse?) than the sixth-worst team in the league. The Oklahoma City Thunder need to make up two and a half games to leap into the third-worst spot in the league, which would tie them for the highest odds at the top overall pick in the NBA Draft Lottery.

On a one-game losing streak, the Thunder are 3-7 in their last ten games set to welcome in the Golden State Warriors who boast the second-best record in the league at 40-13. The Warriors have won eight straight games going 9-1 in their last ten games.

Before this afternoon’s OKC Blue contest, the Thunder have sent Aleksej Pokusevski to the G-League allowing him to play for the Blue at noon, and will likely be recalled following the Blue contest. Though, do not expect him to play in both games today despite both being held in the Paycom Center.

Aleksej Pokusevski re-entered Mark Daigneault’s rotation on Saturday and put up a solid game against the Kings. Now, it appears Poku will earn another DNP-CD after playing this afternoon’s G-League game.
