The OKC Thunder have been hit with the injury bug, after being one of the league’s healthiest teams to start the season they are now without a ton of key contributors. Most notably Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is sidelined until the All-Star break, Mike Muscala, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Roby, Vit Krejci all remain out with ankle/foot injuries, and Aleksej Pokusevski was inactive Monday due to his NBA G-Leauge assignment. For the Warriors, they were down Draymond Green and James Wiseman.
The Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City felt a lot like the Chase Center by the Bay with the amount of Golden State Warrior fans who overran the OKC Thunder palace. They were encouraged by their longtime dominant duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson going off like old times. for 18 and 21 points respectively. Thompson even hit a dagger three reminiscent of game six in the Western Conference Finals, which prompted the shooting guard to exclaim “this is my house!” Warriors fans certainly made it feel like home.

The Oklahoma City Thunder gave it their best shot, but being so shorthanded limited their ability to keep pace with the Warriors. OKC came out strong in the first quarter before fading down the stretch. Lu Dort, who was listed as questionable due to a nasal fracture suited up for the Thunder with a cool clear mask that made him even more intimidating.
Dort threw down a nasty put-back dunk, scoring 26 points on 21 shots, four rebounds, an assist, and three steals on the defensive end. Tre Mann chipped in 11 points with his typical step-back three, and Kenrich Williams poured in 12 points off the bench in a great audition ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.
Josh Giddey also contributed 16 points, hauling in 11 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists with a steal on the defensive end. Giddey made a key adjustment in this game using his body to his advantage to seal off defenders at the rim and finish shots around the basket.
Darius Bazley who returned to the starting five given the injury issues the OKC Thunder fans, performed great with 20 points, a stela, eight rebounds, he went 2-for-4 from three with some athletic rim finishes.
