The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to play out the stretch of their season after snapping a ten-game losing streak, beating the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, the Thunder have enjoyed two straight-off days before traveling to take on the Denver Nuggets. The Thunder held a practice on Thursday in which Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey were limited participants as their status for each game day will remain up in the air for the rest of the 2021-22 campaign.

The Bricktown Boys sit 21-52 with nine games left in the NBA’s regular season, two and a half games out from the worst record in the league, A game and a half back of Orlando, for a bottom three record in the league which would tie the Thunder for the best odds at the first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft (14-percent). The Denver Nuggets are still battling for playoff position in the up in the air Western Conference playing to the tune of a 5-5 record in their last ten games.

If the season ended today, the Nuggets would travel to San Francisco to take on the Golden State Warriors in round one of the NBA Playoffs. The Nuggets only hold half of a game edge on the Minnesota Timberwolves to avoid the NBA Play-In Tournament.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have listed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as questionable again in this contest. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed Sunday’s contest against the Magic, played Monday against the Celtics, before sitting out against the Magic on Wednesday. With two days off since Wednesday, it will be interesting to see if the max contract point guard can give it a go against the playoff Nuggets.

Josh Giddey is still listed as out with hip soreness, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl remains out with a foot injury, Kenrich Williams (knee), Derrick Favors (back), all remain out for this game in Denver. Ty Jerome, Mike Muscala, and Lu Dort have already been ruled out for the rest of the season with season-ending surgery.

The Nuggets are still missing Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr who they hope will make a return in the postseason.
