The Oklahoma City Thunder have been rebuilding this roster for the past two seasons, after a surprise 2019-20 run to the postseason, the OKC Thunder elected to fully submerge themselves into the tank and build around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. During the 2021 NBA Draft, the Thunder came away with Josh Giddey after some bad Lottery luck saw them tumble down to the sixth pick, and in 2022 that lottery luck changed for the better as OKC leaped up to the second overall pick where they were able to nab Chet Holmgren.

When you combine these first two drafts of the rebuild, the OKC Thunder have compiled four (4) lottery picks in Josh Giddey, Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, and Jalen Williams. Now, the team is full of young pieces that will make this team exciting, but still, need a runway to develop into their ceilings.

While predicting this year’s record will not be an easy task, the Oklahoma City Thunder will assuredly be improved on the floor if not in their overall record battling in the tough Western Conference.

The OKC Thunder find themselves on major network for the first time in two seasons, with four total Nationally Televised games

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced their 2022-23 Regular season schedule this week, and the headlines are obvious. From a fun opening night contest against the Timberwolves in Holmgren’s home state for his NBA debut to the New Year’s Eve tradition staying alive, and a showcase matchup as Chet Holmgren faces off with Paolo Banchero.

The OKC Thunder announced they have four games on National Television, with all four set for November. The slate kicks off with a November 1st game against the Magic on TNT with tip-off set for 6:30, then on November 3rd the Thunder host the Nuggets on NBATV at 7, before taking on the Celtics on November 14th in Boston for an early 6:30 tip time on NBATv, and their National slate ends with the Houston Rockets on November 26th at 7 on NBATV.

Another step in the right direction for this OKC Thunder rebuild as the team finds themselves in front of a true National audience for the first time in two seasons.
