The Oklahoma City Thunder released their 2022 preseason schedule on Thursday after last week’s regular season schedule announcement. While we figured out a few of the matchups, now the organization has released each game of the six-game preseason slate with dates, times, and locations. Including the must-watch matchup between Josh Giddey and his former NBL team, the Adelaide 36ers.

The NBA announced the 2022 NBA preseason slate will take place between September 30th and October 14th. The Oklahoma City Thunder will play six contests in that stretch, including a back-to-back set, a tilt in Tulsa, and two games against non-NBA squads.

The Oklahoma City Thunder release their 2022 NBA Preseason schedule that is headlined by a return to the BOK Center in Tulsa, and Josh Giddey facing off with his former NBL Team, the Adelaide 36ers on October 6th

The OKC Thunder will tip-off their 2022 NBA Preseason slate on October 3rd in Denver as they match up with the Denver Nuggets in Ball Arena. The Thunder will then take on the Dallas Mavericks in the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 5th. These two teams faced off in Tulsa back in 2019 on ESPN. While this game is not on National Television the organization still values playing games in Tulsa to give fans from all over the state a chance to see the Thunder and help grow the fanbase.

The very next day, on October 6th, the Oklahoma City Thunder will play their first game of the year in the Paycom Center when they welcome in the Adelaide 36ers at 7 p.m. a game that Josh Giddey is assuredly going to play in and put on a show. A special moment for the second-year guard who spent the 2020-21 season in the NBL with the 36ers as he prepared to become a top ten pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

On October 9th, the Thunder welcomes Maccabi Ra’anana for the final preseason game at the Paycom Center. OKC then hits the road to take on the Pistons in Detroit on October 11th and concludes the preseason on October 13th in San Antonio for Chip Engelland’s first game back in San Antonio after 15 years with the franchise.

The Oklahoma City Thunder led by Josh Giddey and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tip-off the regular season on October 19th in Minnesota against the Timberwolves.
