The offseason is over! The Oklahoma City Thunder play a basketball game on October 3rd! That is under 24 hours away for the OKC Thunder, and after Sam Presti spent these last few days shuffling around the roster, let’s update where the 20-man training camp roster stands at the moment.

As a reminder, the OKC Thunder must get this roster down to 17 players, including the two two-way slots, by October 17th. This means the OKC Thunder need to waive three standard NBA deals before that date. Who has survived the roster turnover to this point, after the mega trade with the Houston Rockets on Thursday, and more transactions on Sunday?

While the roster cuts seem pretty obvious, and we all hesitate to overreact to the preseason, here is the list of players on the roster ahead of their trip to Denver.

Where does the OKC Thunder roster stand ahead of the first preseason game in Denver?

Guards: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Tre Mann, Jalen Williams, Trey Burke, Lu Dort, David Nwaba, Lindy Waters III*

Forwards: Darius Bazley, Ousmane Dieng, Aleksej Pokusevski, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Aaron Wiggins, Kenrich Williams, Eugene Omoruyi*

Centers: Chet Holmgren, Mike Muscala, Jaylin Williams, Marquese Chriss, and Sacha Killeya-Jones**

*Two-way contract

**Training camp deal

The Oklahoma City Thunder are about to begin a six-game NBA Preseason slate that starts in Denver on Monday before playing the Mavericks in the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday,  and two straight games against non-NBA squads starting in the Paycom center on October 6th and 9th starting with Josh Giddey’s former-NBL team.

It is important to note Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will not travel to Denver as he rehabs his MCL injury and of course, Chet Holmgren is out for the season with a right foot injury. Other than that, the OKC Thunder seem fully healthy.
