Tre Mann will tie the Thunder’s single-game 3-Point Record

In Oklahoma City, shooting has been a large part of their game plan, season after season. However, their roster has often been devoid of enough shooters to execute the style of play desired. When Mann was drafted in 2021 a lot of people scoffed at the pick claiming he is just a shooter. This pick was exciting because historically the Thunder have never prioritized shooting the draft.

Therefore, it is not a long shot to say, Mann may be the best pure shooting guard in Thunder history. Mann holds the record for the most threes made in a single game as a Thunder rookie with seven. He ranks second on the list with six made threes in a single game as a Thunder rookie.

The OKC Thunder team record for most threes made in a single game is 10, it has only been done one time in franchise history and is held by Paul George. As a rookie Mann was only three made threes away from the record, there could be a record number of teams trying to not win, vying for Victor Wembanyama, OKC will be playing those teams and as a rookie, Mann was only three off from tying PG’s record.

Mann further displayed his shooting capabilities during the summer league and preseason, neither instance is the same as a real game situation. With that said, among different basketball skills, shooting translate very well from different levels. Mann is a true shooter, and at this rate, he should shoot for the stars.

Editor note: 7 only because it is very hard to make ten triples in a game.
