Game Tonight: OKC Thunder vs Wizards Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, for Nov. 16th
So the Wizards and Thunder enter this match each with newfound success on one end of the floor. Who has the edge?
Part of that might be answered simply by the personnel involved. Beal is to the Wizards what SGA is to the Thunder — but there’s a significant difference.
Washington’s win streak occurred without Bradley Beal and as John Schuhmann pointed out Wizard’s opponents score 12 points more per 100 possessions with Beal on the court!
As for SGA the Thunder perform ‘slightly’ better with him sitting (1.4 points). BUT, the big payoff is the net rating differential. Beal’s net differential of on-court versus off-court is a minus 5.3 in contrast SGA is a plus 9.7.
OKC once again will deal with one of the better paint-defending teams (Wizards rank fifth at limiting PIP).
I haven’t bought stock on this Wizards club this season and won’t (not yet at least) – especially knowing their best player deters from the team performing to their best potential. And it’s not like they’ll put him on the trade block if the Wizards suddenly start losing again now that he’s back…
Would they?
Ahhh – never mind, I’m taking the Thunder to break through the Wizards’ defensive masquerade. I am buying stock on the OKC Thunder offense being more trustworthy.
Thunder 114 – Wizards 109
