Arguably the two hottest young stars in the association tip-off Friday as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads his OKC Thunder into Memphis to face Ja Morant and his Grizzlies.

OKC has been on an offensive tear through the last five games posting a 3-2 record with one loss needing double overtime and the other a four-point battle against the blazing Celtics who are unbeaten through eight.

OKC Thunder vs Grizzlies Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The Grizzlies are favored by 6.5 points in this match while the oddsmakers place the over/under at 229.5.

The moneyline places the Thunder at plus +240 and the Grizzlies at minus -260

Given how robust both teams offense is the over/under might be a tad low.

Some other betting notables:

  • The Thunder are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.
  • The Grizzlies are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games.
  • The Thunder are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against Memphis.
  • The Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games when playing at home against OKC
  • The total has gone under in 5 of Memphis’ last 6 games.
  • The total has gone over in 5 of Oklahoma City’s last 5 games.
  • Oklahoma City is 2-6 straight-up in their last 8 games against Memphis.
  • Memphis is 7-1 straight-up in their last 8 games at home.
  • Oklahoma City is 4-13 straight-up in their last 17 games on the road.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

Thunder Starting Lineup:

The trio of  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, and Luguentz Dort is a constant with head coach Mark Daigneault keeping the other two positions fluid.

Through the early season, Daigneault has utilized bigger units featuring Jeremiah Robinson-Earl with Aleksej Pokusevski or elected to go smaller using Aaron Wiggins or Jalen Williams with POKU or JRE.

He’s even tapped Mike Muscala and Kenrich Williams in a match.

We aren’t learning who’ll get the starting nod until the coach’s pregame media session well after we publish this pregame report. And since this post is meant to offer as much detail as possible to prep fans for the game or to use for betting purposes I’ve decided not to just keep guessing who’ll join the established trio for each match.

Injury Report

Darius Bazley (ankle) and Tre Mann (back) have both been downgraded to out Friday. Chet Holmgren (foot) continues to rehab and is out for the season.

As for the Grizzlies, Desmond Bane will miss a few weeks after injuring his toe. Ziaire Williams (knee) is also out. Danny Green (knee) is out indefinitely.
