Happy Thanksgiving! On a day where we all sit around, eat good food, share fellowship with family and friends, and watch football (or in the case of this year, futbol with the FIFA World Cup happening) all day with food commas and great treats spread throughout the day. The only downside of today is there is no OKC Thunder or NBA basketball.

That does not stop us from consuming OKC Thunder basketball as though it is a meaty turkey leg. What are we thankful for this season when watching the Oklahoma City Thunder? We will give you three things to give thanks for when you are inevitably asked this question sitting around the Thanksgiving dinner table as you try to avoid any hot-button topics.

What are three things the Oklahoma City Thunder fanbase is thankful for this OKC Thunder season?

Before we dive into giving thanks for three things that have happened during this Oklahoma City Thunder season, let’s get some Thanksgiving takes out of the way first and foremost.

I asked OKC Blue head coach Kameron Woods are some of his favorite Thanksgiving dishes and he mentioned sweets, turkey, and gravy, so I pinned him down on the Pumpkin vs Pecan pie debate and his answer did not disappoint. Woods said he would go Pumpkin Pie if he had to choose one but “I would probably sneak back and grab the Pecan pie too.”

The right answer is Pecan Pie, it is by far the best pie on the market, and deserves the proper respect. While Woods did a good job balancing the two, I heavily disagree and go with pecan all the way.

In the discussion of meat, you have to do a ham and a turkey and ham is by far the better of the two, but a nice turkey leg is hard to beat. For sides, give me green bean casserole and mashed potatoes and gravy.
