Game Tonight: OKC Thunder vs Wizards odds, game details, predictions, for January 6th
The OKC Thunder are back home from Orlando and will close out the week hosting two matches with the Washington Wizards on tap tonight.
It’s been an up-and-down week with the wild 150-point victory versus the top-seeded Celtics followed by the loss to the Magic.
The Wizards are finishing a four-game road trip that took them to Orlando (loss) and Milwaukee for a baseball set (split). The second game of the latter was on Tuesday and the Wiz have been idle since so wil be well rested.
With that let’s dive into the odds, injuries, and game details.

Injury Report
From the most recent official NBA injury report update:
Jaylin Williams is the one addition to the injured list as he nurses an ankle sprain.
Aleksej Pokusevsk (left tibial plateau – non-displaced fracture), Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (ankle), and Ousmane Dieng (fractured wrist) are all out.
Chet Holmgren (foot – Lisfranc fracture) is shut down for the season. Eugene Omoruyi and Lindy Waters III are on G League assignment
As for the Wizards, Bradley Beal remains out with a hamstring strain. Former Thunder player Taj Gibson (groin) is also out while the trio of Johnny Davis, Devon Dotson, and Isaiah are on G League assignment.
OKC Thunder vs. Wizards prediction
Washington (17-22) arrives sporting an almost identical record to the Thunder (16-22) having played one additional game.
While the Thunder are viewed as overachieving this year the same can’t be said of the Wizards who have Beal and Kristaps Porzingis in their primes looking to win titles.
Moreover, the Wizards have benefitted from copious games with star players sidelined so their win total was positively impacted. That said, they’ve also navigated yet another season of Beal missing time due to injury.
OKC Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander poses major issues for the Wizards as they don’t have one particularly strong defender to slow him so take a strong look at prop bets for him.
As for the game – I like the Thunder at home to win. The key will be limiting Porzingis and making sure Kyle Kuzma doesn’t get off early since he’s more of a streaky shooter.
