The Oklahoma City Thunder battled the Golden State Warriors til the end on Monday Night; despite getting down by 21 points, the OKC Thunder had multiple shots to tie the game down the stretch of the fourth quarter before the Warriors eventually pulled out the win in the Paycom Center behind star Steph Curry.

Curry dropped 38 points on 8-of-14 shooting from beyond the arc and 60 percent from the floor while dishing out 12 assists, eight rebounds, and even swatting a shot with his signature logo three acting as a dagger.

The Oklahoma City Thunder earned praise from superstar Steph Curry after their hard-fought game on Monday, with Curry dishing out glowing reviews for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

While everyone in Bricktown has followed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander closely this season as the max contract point guard has blossomed into a first-time All-Star and trending toward All-NBA territory this season. The rest of the league is taking notice this season.

Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry was asked about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander following their meeting on Monday. He had glowing reviews of SGA “he has always been a tough scorer, ever since we got that first experience with him [In the 2019 NBA Playoffs against the Clippers]. He is shifty and plays at his own pace. No one can rush him.”

The Superstar continued, “He is tall enough to shoot over you, he is good at drawing fouls, and we knew coming into the game he was going to make tough shots. That is just what he does…he is a scorer, but you have to make it tough on him, make him work.”

When Steph Curry was asked about this young OKC Thunder squad, he said, “they are probably playing above what people predicted…they have a lot of talent, and they are obviously in the mix for a reason because they play hard every night, use their athleticism, and Shai has been playing amazing all year, so you have to pay attention to them. They win a lot of close games, too, because they have that youthful energy about them. They are a tough team to beat, regardless of the experience that they have.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading in the right direction. While that is awesome to hear from the organization themselves, the media, and the players, it carries a lot of weight to hear it from an NBA megastar like Steph Curry.

Next. A calm Deadline is good for OKC Thunder. dark
