The Oklahoma City Thunder are getting set for their second game in as many nights, traveling to Phoenix to take on the Suns on Friday night with the game being broadcasted on ESPN for the Thunder’s third nationally televised game. Though, the Thunder got some bad news with the latest injury report, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander appears on the list.

The OKC Thunder have listed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Ankle, left hip flexor) as questionable for tonight’s game against the Suns. He is tabbed with right ankle soreness following last night’s overtime game against Jazz, where SGA played for 40 minutes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder release their injury report against the Phoenix Suns, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander appears on the report as questionable. Kevin Durant remains out for the Suns.

Along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being questionable with an ankle and hip injury, the Thunder list Chet Holmgren (Foot), Aleksej Pokusevski (leg), and Ousmane Dieng as OUT for tonight’s contest.

For this game, the Suns will be without Former Thunder star Kevin Durant (MCL) and Landry Shamet (foot). Additionally, former Thunder guard Cameron Payne is considered questionable with right foot soreness.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 5-5 in their last ten games while turning in an 11-18 record on the road and 15-18 within the conference. Resting a half-game out of the play-in tournament, the Thunder take on the Suns, who are 32-28, and 7-3 in their last ten games.

At home this season, the Suns are ten games over .500, 20-10, with a 21-15 record against fellow Western Conference teams. This game is part of a six-game stretch for the Oklahoma City Thunder that will define their season in terms of what direction the team will take regarding the play-in tournament or juiced Lottery odds.

The Thunder will likely have to battle the Suns without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, given that there are now two injuries listed on the report, and they will need their supporting cast to step up in this game.

This is another game of development for the OKC Thunder, with young players being thrust into a prominent spot on the road without their best player potentially, with SGA being tabbed as questionable.

Long-term, the Thunder will need to monitor Shai Gilgeous-Alexander moving forward as they enter a brutal stretch in which they play nine games in fourteen nights.

However, OKC has been here with impressive wins over the Memphis Grizzlies and Boston Celtics without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the floor. We will have you covered for everything that pops up along the way this season.
