The OKC Thunder see a dream scenario unfold in CBS’ Mock Draft

The Ringer: My Favorite realistic outcome of these Mock Drafts

The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor has the Oklahoma City Thunder selecting 14th and picking up Michigan wing Jett Howard.

Howard could be an excellent fit for OKC with his three-point shooting, floor spacing, decision-making, and defensive effort.

Overall Grade: A-

CBS: The highest pick yet

The CBS crew has the Oklahoma City Thunder selecting 10th overall, in which they land Gradey Dick out of the University of Kansas. This would be a dream scenario short of winning the Lottery and grabbing Victor Wembanyama.

Dick is nearly the perfect player to mesh into what the OKC Thunder are building with his floor spacing ability, willingness to scrap for possessions, and overall impact on the game.

An underrated aspect of Gradey Dick’s game is his defensive upside. He has the frame and motor of a player that can eventually become a quality defender, or at least not a traffic cone in the NBA.

While Dick is not a lead ball handler at the next level, he is still capable of making plays and quick decisions which appears to be a prerequisite for playing for Mark Daigneault.

Overall grade: A+, but it would likely take a Draft night trade for Sam Presti to pull this off.
