Jordan Hawkins can be one of the highest risers from the March Madness tournament.

When: The UCONN Huskies start their NCAA March Madness run on Friday, 3:30, vs. IONA.

Who: Jordan Hawkins and Andre Jackson Jr.

Jordan Hawkins is one of the most prolific offensive weapons in college basketball. Hawkins averages 16 points, four rebounds, and an assist per game, shooting 40 percent from the floor and 37 percent from beyond the arc.

Hawkins ranks in the 89th percentile offensively, pouring in 1.049 points per possession. When coming off screens, Hawkins shot 41 percent from the floor, 45 percent on spot-up shots, and 40 percent off the catch.

On the defensive end, Hawkins still grades out as “very good,” according to Synergy, which places him in the 73rd percentile in the country. However, he can get it done on both ends of the floor, and a strong March run could have this second-year 6’5 guard leap into the mid-first round or higher.

Andre Jackson is a 6’6 guard for UCONN, in his third season with the Huskies, averaging six points, six rebounds, four assists, and a steal per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor but just 26 percent from deep.
