The past 2022-2023 is in the books and it has certainly been a stunning one. No one could have predicted the outcome of the past season. If one says that the OKC Thunder will finish the season as the last non-playoff team to go onto the offseason after a hard-fought play-in tournament, he possibly is lying and out of his mind. How the Thunder ended their season — in spite of missing out of the playoff stage — was an incredible over-achievement in and of itself.

Looking back, the Thunder showed some impressive display of scrappiness and grit that not only shocked the rest of the league, but also showed the type of culture the OKC Thunder has been cultivating in their new era of basketball glory. Well, it should come as no surprise for a team that has seen immense greatness from their players, and success from its former iteration of rosters.

Surely, the winning mentality, despite all the doubts surrounding the team’s aims, has stood out more than ever. With this, it provided us with some memorable and significant games to look back at. Some of it epitomizes that never-give-up attitude, and the grit-and-grind edge of the young Thunder team, while some were flashes of greatness that should be expected to come when they finally put it all together and compete on a high level.

With the offseason only in its early days, it will be a joy to look at the games that defined the OKC Thunder and provided great significance to the team’s season, regardless of the results.
