The 2023 NBA Draft order is set as Victor Wembanyama heads to the San Antonio Spurs with the first overall pick. We are left with months worth of speculation for the remaining selections. While the Oklahoma City Thunder did not receive NBA Draft Lottery Luck, they own the 12th pick in the first round, a spot the OKC Thunder are familiar with.

A year ago at that slot, the Thunder grabbed Jalen Williams, who ended his rookie campaign as the second-best player in his draft class and saw his stock shoot up to Lottery Status this time last year. Nick Collison, a pillar of the franchise with his jersey immortalized in the rafters of the Paycom Center, was also selected at 12. The 2023 class offers some equally interesting options.

The OKC Thunder have a plethora of options with the 12th overall pick. Let’s start with three.

On top of owning the 12h, 37th, and 50th selections, Sam Presti and the Oklahoma City Thunder have a stocked pile of future draft assets. This allows the franchise to hold the cards come draft night. Another familiar spot as Presti has pulled the trigger on a draft day trade in each year since 2019.

Aside from trading up to land some of the more lofty prized prospects like Taylor Hendricks or Jarace Walker, who should OKC Thunder fans keep an eye on for the 12th overall pick? Let’s start with three names, but do not worry. Our draft profile series will cover every prospect you are interested in from now until the draft, so keep checking back for more.
