OKC Thunder basketball is back! At least the Summer League verity in Salt Lake City. The Oklahoma City Thunder rolled out a Summer squad that is chock-full of talent, one of the deepest and most exciting in the league.

Between Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, Jalen Williams, Jaylin Williams, Jared Butler, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and Keyontae Johnson, the Summer team features seven players that have played for OKC or are on the current roster, with Cason Wallace joining the fold in Vegas once his deal becomes official. As a note, Robinson-Earl (Ankle) and Keyontae Johnson (Hamstring) are on the shelf for at least the Salt Lake City portion with injuries.

The Oklahoma City Thunder earned a Summer League opening win over the Utah Jazz 95-85 in Salt Lake City, with Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams leading the way. Tre Mann, who finds himself on the chopping block, also had a massive bounce-back performance.

Grading the OKC Thunder Summer League win over the Utah Jazz to tip-off the Salt Lake City schedule.

After a sloppy first frame for each side, the Oklahoma City Thunder settled into the game in the second quarter and grabbed hold of the contest. The OKC Thunder eventually saw their lead swell to 27 and never looked back. This matchup only saw four lead changes all night, with the Jazz never able to grow a lead past one (1) point.

The Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the contest, winning second chance points, fastbreak points, rebounds, and bench points. OKC turned in 43/42/70 shooting splits compared to the woeful Jazz output of 38/26/57. Let’s great the roster for OKC Thunder in this matchup.
