Roster Prediction for Victor Oladipo:

Victor Oladipo is the easiest cut to make on this roster, and he is rehabbing from his knee injury. The timing of his injury and the fact that he is one of the oldest players on the roster makes cutting him a logical choice for Sam Presti.

The OKC Thunder have been preaching the development of their young players, and Oladipo would take away developmental minutes from the likes of Tre Mann and Cason Wallace.

This team’s chemistry is at an all-time high, and you want the team to grow together in both their successes and failures. Someone like Oladipo wants to win a championship now as he is on the backside of his career, and better teams are suited to help him with that goal.

By the time the OKC Thunder are ready to compete for a championship in a couple of years, Oladipo will be nearing the end of his career. There is no guarantee that he will return to being a solid, rotational piece after a second significant injury, and he is north of thirty years old. It makes sense for Oladipo to be cut and sign with a team ready to compete for a championship now.
