Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the best basketball players in the World, and he is proving that day in and day out at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The OKC Thunder watched as he became a bonafide Superstar during the 222-23 NBA season, leading the franchise to their first postseason since the 2019-20 campaign that wrapped up in the Disney Bubble.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way for Team Canada, who have the second-best odds of winning the FIBA World Cup, and Josh Giddey paving the way for Australia, the OKC Thunder duo have seen no shortage of highlight-worthy plays.

On Tuesday, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Team Canada wrapped up pool play by knocking off Latvia 101-75. The Canadians earned a perfect 3-0 record and advanced to the second round stage, where they await their Friday opponent.

In the game against Latvia, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander pulled off many highlight-worthy plays on his way to earning player-of-the-game honors. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 27 points, six rebounds, and as many assists.

It started with this coast-to-coast euro-stepping finish at the rim, which, despite being a great play, is not even close to his best of the night.

The OKC Thunder superstar pulling off such a nasty step back just continues to evaluate his status. Though Thunder fans are used to seeing it, this is an international stage to expose his scoring prowess to a new section of fans.
