Well, Thunder Nation, it is time again to go out on some limbs and hope they do not break. Opening day for the OKC Thunder is finally upon us, and it is such a glorious time as everyone starts with the same record: 0-0.
Therefore, no matter how unrealistic it may be, everyone in the league has hope to do something great.
Things usually begin to take shape quickly, but for about the first two to three weeks, sometimes about a month, teams and their fan bases have some fun before reality sits in.

However, this season, the OKC Thunder fanbase should not have to worry about the t-word because their core is looking good, they have intriguing pieces, and it is time to start pushing toward a playoff berth; with that said, development needs to be a vital part of this season.
Because we already know what a perennial playoff team looks like, and going out in the first round every year is not fun, the end goal with the OKC Thunder should be chasing championships, not playoff appearances, in order to get to the former, development must occur in the regular season.
