The Oklahoma City Thunder played host to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday Night, and Chet Holmgren continued his dominating rookie season. Chet Holmgren, so far through six games, is averaging 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two blocks. The Gonzaga big man is shooting an impressive 56 percent from the three-point line and 62 percent from the floor.
In the fast half against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, Holmgren posted nine points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. As part of his first 18 minutes of action, he pulled off a masterful fast break that a seven-footer has no business doing.
The OKC Thunder fans are buzzing after Chet Holmgren pulls off a crazy behind-the-back pass in transition.
Holmgren was able to get out and run, which is part of the reason the Thunder drafted him. Holmgren is a seven-foot “unicorn” who can playmake, rebound, protect the rim, and score. Even with that being a huge selling point coming out of college, this behind the back pass was too nasty for a big man to pull off.

Holmgren has been dazzling in his debut season. The OKC Thunder big man is still integrating himself into the team, and will only get better from here.
