The Steph Curry-less Golden State Warriors will try to snap their four-game losing streak tonight at home against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Warriors have struggled lately, losing the first two games of their five-game homestand against the Timberwolves. Golden State didn’t have Curry for Tuesday night’s 104-101 loss, which also featured Draymond Green being ejected from the game. The Warriors won’t have Curry for tonight’s contest, along with Green, who was suspended for five games.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have won four out of their last five games, which includes back-to-back blowout wins over the Suns and Spurs. Oklahoma City will try to even up the series at 1-1 after the Warriors won the first matchup 141-139 on Nov. 3.

Thunder vs. Warriors key players to watch

Oklahoma City Thunder

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: The 25-year-old point guard is coming off an efficient game against the Spurs, where he recorded 28 points (10-16 FG, 1-4 3pt), seven steals, six rebounds, and five assists.

Gilgeous-Alexander has been playing outstanding basketball this month, averaging 31.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game. The star point guard didn’t play in the first meeting on Nov. 3, so you have to believe he’ll want to put on a show, especially with Golden State missing their best player.

Jalen Williams: With Chet Holmgren healthy and playing well this season, Williams sometimes gets overlooked. However, the second-year forward has picked up where he left off last season with the Thunder.

Williams is averaging 17.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. His versatility on both ends of the floor makes the Thunder hard to beat. He can defend at a high level and can affect the game in multiple ways on offense.

Golden State Warriors

Klay Thompson: Without Curry or Green, Thompson will have to be one of Golden State’s top scorers in tonight’s game. The veteran sharpshooter hasn’t gotten off to a fast start this season, scoring 14.6 points per game on 42.3% shooting from the field and 31.4% from three-point range.

In the Warriors’ first matchup against the Thunder, the 33-year-old wing played well, scoring 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Since that game, he’s scoring 12.8 points per game on 37.3% shooting from the field and 26.8% from deep.

Andrew Wiggins: Wiggins is in the same boat as Thompson as he’s gotten off to a slow start too, despite the Warriors being .500. This season, the veteran small forward is averaging 10.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He’s also shooting a pedestrian 39.5% from the field and 15.4% from three-point range.

However, the good news for Golden State is Wiggins played great against Oklahoma City earlier this month, scoring 17 points (6-11 FG) and grabbing five rebounds. The Warriors will need that type of performance tonight if they want to pull off the upset.

Thunder vs. Warriors prediction and pick

The Warriors have surprisingly fared well in the underdog role this season, going 4-1 against the spread. However, Golden State had Stephen Curry for most of those games, who accounts for 30.7 points per game.

Without Curry, the Warriors will have a tough time filling that void against an Oklahoma City team that’s scoring 116.5 points per game and playing at the fifth-best pace in the NBA (101.7).

Speaking of the Thunder, they are 3-1 ATS on the road this season, but only 3-2 ATS as a favorite.

However, OKC is also 3-1 straight up on the road, with their only loss coming against the Kings on Nov. 10. If Gilgeous-Alexander continues to play at a high level and gets help from Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Luguentz Dort, they will cover this short spread.
