The Oklahoma City Thunder battled with the 76ers on Saturday night as part of a two-game mini-homestand split up by the Holiday. The OKC Thunder were already 1-0 on the quick pitstop home after taking care of business on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls. Chet Holmgren and the Thunder tried to make it a 2-0 stay on Saturday before heading to Minnesota for the final In-Season Tournament pool play game.

The OKC Thunder had to battle the 76ers shorthanded, without their rising star Sophomore forward Jalen Williams, who is out with a hip injury. Williams is sidelined for an unclear amount of time.

Chet Holmgren goes off in the third quarter and leaves OKC Thunder fans even more excited about the future.

The Oklahoma City Thunder center has taken on more and more offensive responsibility as he has gotten more comfortable in the NBA. It has led to the OKC Thunder feeding Chet Holmgren more, and the Gonzaga product is living up to the hype.

In the third quarter alone against the League’s MVP Joel Embiid and the 76ers, Chet Holmgren posted 12 points, going 2-for-4 from three-point land and not missing a shot inside the arc. Holmgren also brought down a rebound and swatted a shot.

The OKC Thunder fanbase is clearly excited about the potential of the 2nd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Chet Holmgren has looked like a future star through his first 16 games in the NBA. On Tuesday, he gets another tough test against the big men duo in Minnesota.
