How disrespected OKC Thunder stack up against every NBA Christmas Day team

The Thunder are more deserving to play on Christmas Day than half of these teams!

Despite coming off of a historic 2023-24 season and producing yet again as one of the top ball clubs the game has to offer, the OKC Thunder continue to find themselves being somewhat disrespected by the league.

From their lack of favorable foul calls made by officiating teams to their lowly total of nationally broadcast games, the West's top-seeded Oklahoma City seems to constantly be treated like a second-class organization.

Perhaps the most noteworthy example of the Thunder being overlooked and underappreciated by the NBA comes in the form of their omission from this year's Christmas Day programming.

December 25 is unanimously viewed as the biggest day on the league's regular season schedule, as it generally sees some of their highest viewership totals and, in turn, they reserve games for the best teams they have to offer.

Interestingly enough, however, despite coming off a top-seeded finish last year and boasting the third-best record in the association, Oklahoma City has not participated in the holiday festivities since 2018-19.

The Thunder are viewed in higher regard, or at the very least the same level as the 10 teams actually slotted into the X-Mas Day schedule, and both the eye test along with on-paper metrics easily back up this stance.
