A former OKC Thunder forward is on an unprecedented tear over the past few years. His fortune-telling abilities have been on clear display over the past two seasons, as he jumped from Oklahoma City to New York just in time to collect a pair of championship rings.
Now, it appears he's attempting to prophesize the next NBA Champion.
Dillon Jones reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday afternoon, giving him the potential to win a third straight championship with three different teams.
Regardless of whether that happens or not, all jokes aside, Jones' recent success is more of a coincidence than anything else.
In 2024-25, he averaged just 2.5 points in 54 regular-season games with the Thunder and played a meager 4.6 minutes per game in his 10 playoff appearances. The following season, he played just seven regular-season games as a two-way player and none in the Knicks' title run.

Jones appears to have been paying close attention to the league's moves this offseason, as the Philadelphia 76ers have been the talk of the town. Acquisitions of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James have them poised to make a run in 2026-27.
Apparently, Dillon Jones' disturbingly accurate foresight was the last piece of the puzzle.
LeBron, Jones' new teammate, has been accused of ring-chasing in the past. In fact, he has won a ring at every stop in his career.
Now, Jones is pushing to overtake that reputation.
Three rings in a row in three different cities would indeed exhibit elite ring-chasing prowess.
In all seriousness, Jones may not even make the opening roster, as a season in the G League is a more realistic outcome. Still, if he were to earn a spot alongside Philly's star-studded cast and secure yet another championship, it would be one of the league's most uncanny coincidences in recent memory.
His signing doesn't move the needle in terms of the 76ers' title odds, but Thunder fans will still feel the hair prickle on the back of their necks, as many of them are aware of Jones' current title streak.
OKC was sent home packing last year while Jones got an "A" on the group project without having to lift a finger. Hopefully this year, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can break his streak.
It will be a tough road, but they still boast the roster talent to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
