Following a quick two-game road trip out in California, the last of which was a brute-force showdown against the Sacramento Kings, the OKC Thunder return home Thursday night to play host to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Though Oklahoma City may have already locked up the win in this year's inter-conference series, as they sport a 3-0 head-to-head record coming into the contest, the fifth-seeded Grizzlies are far from a team that should be overlooked.
From their 44-28 record to the fact that they boast one of the most menacing trios in the game today with the likes of Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane leading the charge, this ball club has proven capable of battling with any one on any given night.
Because of this, in order for the Thunder to have their best shot of sweeping the season series, they'll need all available hands on deck and playing at their best. Fortunately, they may be getting back one of their foundational pieces just in time for the primetime showdown.
