OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams has been plagued by right wrist complications for some time now.

From initially tearing his scapholunate ligament in early April to undergoing reconstructive surgery in July and dealing with the agonizing rehabilitation thereafter, the forward has been at less than full strength for the better part of the past year.

Fortunately, it seems that Williams may have officially turned the corner in his recovery, as he told reporters following Monday's 123-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers that "my wrist has felt better than it ever has."

Playing for the first time in over a month after being hobbled by a nagging hamstring, J-Dub seemed as healthy as he's been all season long.

In just 20 minutes of action out in the City of Brotherly Love, the 24-year-old posted a whopping 18 points, six assists, and four rebounds while shooting a highly efficient 57.1 percent from the field and clocking in with plus-9.0 plus-minus.

While spectators were presumably focusing their attention on how loose Williams was playing -- after all, hamstring strains are a tricky injury --, the wing's notable takeaway of himself was that his shooting wrist felt as good as new.

Excitingly enough, behind spurts of serious burst and a clean, lead-extending triple early on in the second quarter, it seems both were back to their regularly scheduled programming right out of the gates in his return to action.

With the playoffs right around the corner and a goal of becoming the first back-to-back champions since the 2018 Warriors, this is truly music to the ears of Thunder fans.

Jalen Williams is the ultimate X-Factor for Thunder

Here in 2025-26, Williams has missed 45 of 72 games due to various health issues. Needless to say, given his established star pedigree and his integral role in last year's championship run, Dub's absence from Oklahoma City's rotation has been far from ideal.

Of course, the Thunder have not let it derail things during their title defense tour.

Overall, the ball club is on pace for over 60 wins (57-15) with Williams predominantly donning street clothes. They've gone a ridiculous 37-8 without him in the fold and have maintained top-ranked defensive and net ratings, while still boasting a solid 116.7 offensive rating with the forward off the floor.

Now, with him medically cleared, this already number-one-seeded squad will add a two-way star who, even in an injury-riddled season such as this, is still averaging 17.5 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals on 48.3 percent shooting.

Not only this, but coming into the campaign, Williams was also viewed as the 11-best player in the entire association.

Talk about the ultimate X-Factor!
