Heading into the 2026 postseason, the OKC Thunder have one of the biggest X-factors in the game, and LeBron James just highlighted who.

During a recent edition of Mind the Game, the all-time superstar, along with Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash, spoke glowingly about Jalen Williams and discussed how he's a "pivotal" factor in Oklahoma City's pursuit of winning back-to-back titles.

James, whose Lakers are gearing up to embark on their fourth-straight playoff run as the fourth seed out West, would continue on to say that while there aren't all that many wildcards for "a lot of the postseason teams," the defending champions seem to have "one of the biggest ones" in J-Dub.

"He's one of the biggest wildcards... because of the injuries he's had this year, but also for the full makeup of what they want to potentially, possibly get to... They're a damn good team when he's on the floor [and] when he's not on the floor. Shai's special, but it gives them another level of oomph when he's out playing," James said.

Jalen Williams only adds more firepower to top-seeded Thunder

James further emphasized the forward's impact on the game by gushing over his tremendous two-way efforts, saying his ability to excel on both ends of the court adds "another dynamic piece out on the floor" for the Thunder.

After establishing himself as an All-Star, All-Defensive, and All-NBA player while serving as a key figure in OKC's NBA Finals run just last season, Williams has found himself marred by injuries here in the club's title-defense tour, registering only 33 games of action.

Of course, even with his various health-related ailments, Dub has still flashed a high-end level of all-around production when on the floor, as he stuffed the stat sheet with averages of 17.1 points, 5.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals on 48.4 percent shooting from the field while clocking in with a plus-6.9 plus-minus along the way.

With the 25-year-old predominantly sidelined this year, the Thunder managed to become just the third franchise in NBA history to record 64 or more wins in consecutive seasons, while boasting an elite record of 39-10 with him completely out of the rotation.

As James noted, with or without Williams in the fold, OKC is undeniably one of the best clubs in the association. However, as they head into the playoffs, it goes without saying that having their star wing, specifically now equipped with a wrist that "has felt better than it ever has," only makes them more dominant.
