After months of debate and speculation, it seems the OKC Thunder have finally received word on who their main TV partner will be this coming season.

With FanDuel Sports Network ceasing operations at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign, Oklahoma City became a free agent, ready to be snatched up by another provider with whom they could call home.

Griffin Media, which has been simulcasting select games over the years, has stepped up as the primary local partner for Thunder broadcast basketball.

Of course, the ball club didn't just stop there.

Along with this partnership announcement with Griffin, OKC also revealed the launch of their own direct-to-fan streaming network, Thunder+, which allows regional fans to tune into what are generally blacked-out games on platforms such as NBA League Pass.

A subscription to the team's new streaming service will be set at $19.99 per month or $108.99 per year, though those residing out of market do not need to purchase a subscription, as they are not subject to blackouts.

First, a fresh way to watch games remotely, and then, come 2028, a brand-new stadium in the Continental Coliseum to attend home games?

The only way to make this wave of upgrades even better would be to add another Larry O'Brien to their trophy collection along the way.

Thunder are set to receive serious primetime attention in 2026-27

Even without the new TV partnership, Thunder fans would have still been able to watch their beloved ball club a ton during the upcoming 2026-27 season thanks to their slew of nationally televised matchups.

Outside of the four top-tier teams in the 76ers, Knicks, Lakers, and Spurs that are tied for the most national broadcasts this coming year at 34, the Thunder are the only other club set to take part in 30 or more of such contests.

Exclude NBA TV, and they're heading for a whopping 27 primetime showdowns.

Oklahoma City will be one of the first teams to set the tone for nationally broadcast bouts this coming year, as they're already locked into an opening night tip-off against their rising rival in the Spurs, making it somewhat of a revenge game for the Thunder following their ill-fated seven-game showdown against San Antonio in last year's Western Conference Finals.

After that, five of their next 10 games will be broadcast nationally. Clearly, everyone's dying to get a glimpse of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and company during this upcoming campaign.

Now, both local and out-of-region fans have a chance to tune in.
