Kenrich Williams deserves to play more

Kenrich Williams is a player that I think could bring OKC’s starting lineup to a new level. Williams is a true role player, excelling in the margins of the game. Boxouts, backdoor cuts, and spot-up threes. Williams doesn’t often create plays on the ball, but when you play with guys like Jalen Williams and Gilgeous-Alexander, that becomes a less vital skill.

The defensive end is where you’d really see the benefit of raising Kenrich Williams’ minutes. Williams is versatile enough to cover guards, centers, and everything in between. The Thunder starters are a strong defensive group as is, but the addition of Kenny Hustle would be suffocating for the opposition.

Williams is at 15.3 minutes per game this season. If we were to see that number rise to 20 minutes per game, along with some more run with the starters, I believe that OKC would become an even more formidable team.
