A Night of Debuts and an Encore

The Thunder added three new players recently, they added Gordon Hayward in a trade at the trade deadline, they picked up Bismack Biyombo via the buyout market, and they signed Adam Flagler via the buyout market.

Both Hayward and Biyombo are well traveled veterans, Hayward has played four teams over 13 seasons and Biyombo has played for six teams over 12 seasons. Whereas Flagler has spent time in the G-League with the OKC Blue, he appeared in 14 games for the Blue this season.

Hayward went scoreless in his debut vs the Clippers, but was better in his second outing, scoring eight points. Going scoreless in a debut must be contagious as both Biyombo and Flager both also went scoreless in their first game in a Thunder jersey.

Leaving a Legacy

Friday night was not just about debuts, but also looking back as the Thunder hosted Legacy Night, where they honor and celebrate former players who are now retired, this year's group included Nick Collison, Desmond Mason, Thabo Sefolosha, and others.

Collison has become a staple on Legacy Night, while this was the first time for some of the other former players. A video montage was shown during the pregame show on KSBI which is broadcasting Friday night games and the video was also shown in the arena.
