The Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans played a long-scoring Game 1, which can throw a wrench into the prop market ahead of Game 2.
Do we expect these offenses to bounce back? Or, will two of the best defenses in the NBA continue to hold things down in this first-round matchup?
I have a few prop bets to bet tonight that I think will come through no matter how this game is played, especially a play for rookie sensation Chet Holmgrem.

Let’s break down these top props for Wednesday:
Pelicans vs. Thunder best NBA prop bets
- Cason Wallace OVER 0.5 3-pointers made
- CJ McCollum OVER 30.5 points, rebounds and assists
- Chet Holmgren OVER 2.5 blocks
Cason Wallace OVER 0.5 3-pointers made
Rookie Cason Wallace played 19 minutes in Game 1, shooting 1-for-2 from beyond the arc.
He’s made at least one 3-point shot in six of his last seven games, shooting 41.9 percent from beyond the arc on the season.
Wallace played in the closing minute against New Orleans, and if he keeps seeing around 20 minutes of playing time, he’s going to have chances to get some 3s off.
As long as he’s in the two or more attempts range, I like Wallace to knock a shot down for OKC.
CJ McCollum OVER 30.5 points, rebounds and assists
CJ McCollum came just short of this number with 20 points, six assists and three rebounds in Game 1, but his usage is where I think we need to look.
McCollum took 22 shots in Game 1 – a massive uptick from his final play-in game where he fell way short of this number against the Sacramento Kings.
To close out the regular season, McCollum cleared this number in seven straight games, and if he’s going to attempt this many shots from the field, he’s a must-bet on the OVER tonight.
Chet Holmgren OVER 2.5 blocks
Chet Holmgren made his presence felt in Game 1, blocking five shots for the Thunder – the fourth time in his last eight games that he’s blocked three or more shots.
New Orleans has allowed 5.2 opponent blocks per game this season (19th in the NBA) and Chet averaged 2.3 blocks per game this season.
If he keeps playing major minutes, he should make a major defensive impact tonight.
