It is NBA Trade Deadline season! The Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors got the party started with a blockbuster swap of Pascal Siakam. As the Pacers net an All-Star, which the OKC Thunder have some indirect involvement in, now it is time for the NBA World to pivot.

Siakam was one of, if not the best, name on the NBA Trade Deadline market right now that was widely available. With him gone now, the NBA World will wait for the dust to settle before pivoting and finding their next targets to pounce on.

This trade not only shakes up both teams, as the Pacers feel good now having two All-Stars, and the Raptors spring into a rebuild, but the situations of each roster depth change and make subsequent moves more likely.

The OKC Thunder can cash in on the Pascal Siakam trade fallout and grab one of the Indiana Pacers log jammed forwards.

With the Indiana Pacers now having Pascal Siakam, they have a boatload of quality NBA forwards to varying degrees who will struggle to get minutes.

This log jam is not a crisis scenario for the Pacers, as the players Siakam now "blocks" are all young, cheap, and controllable, so Indiana is not in dire need of moving on from any of them. However, Oklahoma City has the assets to make it worth their while.
