4. Clint Capela
After reports have come out in recent days that the Atlanta Hawks are shopping big man Clint Capela, the Oklahoma City Thunder could be a possible landing spot for the veteran.
Capela is entering the final year of his contract and is slated to make $22.3 million next season. He is coming off a strong campaign with the Hawks where he averaged 11.5 points and 10.6 rebounds a night.
As the Thunder continue their hunt for a solid veteran center, they might not have to look any further than Capela. Atlanta is in limbo as they look to separate their backcourt duo of Trae Young and Dejonte Murray.
This paired with nice young pieces on their roster like Jalen Johnson and this year's first overall pick Zaccharie Risacher only strengthens the notion that a youth movement could be in the works in Atlanta.
At 30 years old, Capela does not fit the team's timeline, and, if they do not trade him, it is more than likely he will walk in free agency next summer.
The NBA’s rebounding champion back in the 2020-2021 NBA season, Capela could be a major addition for the Thunder as they look to bolster their frontcourt this offseason.
