JaVale McGee

Shaqtin' a Fool may have painted a picture of JaVale McGee being a highly inconsistent big man who possesses too much athleticism for his own good earlier in his career, but during these latter stages, the 36-year-old has established himself as a war-tested veteran who has played a role in guiding two different franchises to NBA Championships on three separate occasions.

Coming off his 16 season in the association, it's quite evident that the 7-footer has slowed down a bit with age, but still possesses the ability to put forth sound efforts in the nitty-gritty aspects of the game in limited action.

In 46 games played and while seeing an average of only 7.4 minutes a night, McGee posted 4.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and just shy of half a block per game which, when translated into per 100 metrics, is a whopping 26.5 points, 18.1 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks all while registering in with a highly respectable 109 defensive rating.

When looking at this roster, championship experience is something that's severely lacking, as the majority of Oklahoma City's core players took part in their first-ever playoff games this past season.

Not only would the addition of McGee give the Thunder a player familiar with what it takes for a team to win, but it would also give them yet another monstrous presence within their frontcourt to have backing up the team's primary bigs in Holmgren and Hartenstein.
