For months, the OKC Thunder have been rumored to be high on the idea of signing veteran big Isaiah Hartenstein during the 2024 NBA Free Agency period.

On day one of the festivities, it was reported that Sam Presti and company had flown out to the center's home of Eugene, Oregon, to organize a meeting about a potential union.

Now, during the early hours of Monday's day two, the two parties have agreed to terms on a partnership, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Hartenstein has signed a multi-year pact with the Thunder.

Per the report, Hartenstein's deal with the Thunder is to the tune of three years, $87 million, with year three being non-guaranteed.

The 26-year-old is coming off a career-best campaign in 2023-24 where he wrapped with averages of 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 blocks a night.

He would only up his productivity under the bright lights of the NBA Playoffs, as he would post 8.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and just shy of a block per game on 59.2 percent shooting from the floor and 50.0 percent shooting from distance throughout their two-round excursion.

With his impressive build (7-foot-1, 249-pounds) along with his rebounding, floor spacing, and rim-protecting skills, it is believed that Hartenstein's arrival in Loud City will bring much-needed improvements both from a size and talent perspective to their frontcourt rotation next to Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.

Already acquiring Alex Caruso to bolster their three-point shooting prowess, this signing for the Thunder helps address yet another weakness that aided in their ultimate demise against the Dallas Mavericks during this past playoff run.
