1. Josh Giddey

Josh Giddey could make-or-break the series for the Thunder.

Giddey, who has been in a resurgence of sorts over the past month following an underwhelming first few months of the season, will be a crucial piece for the team's cause against the Pelicans.

The Thunder have seen teams throw their centers at the guard, allowing them to sag and roam to better protect the paint. Despite shooting 37.3 percent from beyond the arc in his last 15 games, Giddey is expected to be neglected on the court as teams try to live with him making these shots and getting space rather than letting the other stars ignite the offense

His inability to make shots and punish the defense can put the Thunder’s offense in jeopardy as it could affect their drive-and-kick game while also forcing the team to play virtually four-versus-five in the halfcourt.

OKC needs to put Giddey in situations where he can thrive, such as in a passing hub out on the elbow, or use him as a screener for short rolls.

For most of the Thunder faithful, Giddey has been the most polarizing player on the team. With a limited offensive bag and not all that many additions on offense, one can only wonder how head coach Mark Daigneualt could offset these weaknesses in a seven-game series.

Truthfully, we just have to wait and see.
