The Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. This marks the first road trip to Dallas, and a homecoming for multiple players on the OKC Thunder roster.

Cason Wallace was born and raised in the Dallas area, growing up in Richardson, Texas, with his nearest NBA team being the Dallas Mavericks. What a run the Mavericks had, led by Dirk Nowitzki for a large chunk of the 20-year-olds' life, including delivering the Mavs an NBA Championship and two final appearances.

Wallace had a whirlwind of a draft night back in June. Due to the NBA rules, trades are not announced at the NBA Draft until teams can make them official, which routinely happens after the selection and sideshow. For a moment, Cason Wallace was selected by the Dallas Mavericks, even donning a Mavs hat while walking across the stage to meet Adam Silver before being informed he was traded to Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have trusted Cason Wallace from the word go, playing him in all 18 games, averaging 22 minutes per contest, and making four starts already in his career filling in for injured players.

OKC Thunder traveling to Dallas to take on the Mavericks presents a homecoming for multiple players, capped off by a special moment.

As Cason Wallace returns home, Kenrich Williams has done the same on this road trip, literally. The OKC Thunder touched down in Dallas on Friday afternoon ahead of Saturday's tip, and gathered at a special event on Friday night.

Kenrich Williams from Waco, Texas, saw his High School Jersey retired on Friday Night at Waco University High School. The 29-year-old is still entrenched in the Waco community, spending his time there every chance he gets while also investing a ton in the Oklahoma City community.

The entire OKC Thunder roster, coaching staff, and support staff made the trek to this High School game to support Kenrich Williams being around him, his family, and friends on a special day.

It feels safe to assume Kenrich Williams and Cason Wallace will have a large chunk of supporters in the stands tonight against the Dallas Mavericks.
