The OKC Thunder drafted Serbian-born baller Nikola Topic at 12 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, a move that, though upsetting to some considering they desperately needed a big man, is bound to strengthen a backcourt now weakened with the recent departure of Josh Giddey.
Regardless of how one views the strategy behind the pick, it seemingly hasn't curbed the 18-year-old's enthusiasm about meeting the Oklahoma City fanbase in the near future, as he shared a message to the franchise's faithful followers via the team's social media account expressing his excitement to head out to Loud City.

Since arriving in Oklahoma City back in 2008, Thunder loyalists have become regarded as some of the best fans in the entire association. Just recently, they received ample praise from former point guard, Raymond Felton, who went as far as to say "OKC has some of the best fans Iโve ever played for in my entire life.โ
To put this into perspective, the man spent three seasons at the collegiate level playing for the UNC Tar Heels and, throughout his 14-year NBA career, he suited up for several notable franchises such as the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks before finishing out his career with the Thunder.

Even following their Game 6 elimination against the Dallas Mavericks in this past season's Western Conference Semifinals, Thunder fans were found awaiting the club's arrival at the airport, where their plane touched down as late as 1AM (CDT).
With their track record and reputation, it should come as no surprise that Topic is eager to introduce himself to the fanbase and, with his particular set of skills, they should be excited to meet him as well.
